Corporate Immigration Solicitor

What will you do?

 

We are looking to recruit a solicitor to join our well-respected corporate immigration team and working alongside senior directors Thal Vasishta and Kirin Abbas. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is looking for the next step in their career.  

 

You will have the opportunity to work with businesses which are niche, start-up, multinational and in a diverse range of sectors. Our clients include household names, universities and charities.

 

Your work will include advising clients on successfully registering as skilled-worker licence holders, compliance with sponsorship duties, carrying out mock audits, managing the sponsor licence for our larger clients, preparing visa & leave to remain applications and training HR advisers on immigration law. In addition, you will also assist highly skilled individuals in making applications under the points-based system and related visas. You will also be involved in business development strategies.       

    

Some of the work we have done for clients recently include:

  • Advising a national retailer on adding their franchise stores to their existing sponsor licence 
  • Advising an international law firm on adding their European offices as linked entities to their sponsor licence
  • Advising an international trademarks and patents firm on the provision of services in the EU and UK following the EU/UK Trade Agreement
  • Advising an international healthcare provider on the changes to their migrant worker policies following the UK’s exit from the EU
  • Advising a national care home group on registering as sponsors with the UKVI

 

Attributes

  • You will have a minimum of 12 months post-qualification experience in corporate immigration law. We may also consider applications from senior legal or HR professionals who have solid corporate immigration experience. In addition, you must have:
  • A professional and enthusiastic approach to your work
  • Ability to prioritise and manage own workload without supervision
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organisational skills; you must be able to co-ordinate tasks simultaneously and prioritise effectively
  • Keen attention to detail
  • You will be highly results driven

 

Salary

Dependent on experience

 

Benefits:

  • 26 days annual leave plus bank holidays, rising by an additional day for each full year’s service to a maximum of 30 days
  • Auto enrolled onto our pension scheme after 3 months of service

 

Work remotely:

Yes, but as Covid-19 restrictions lift you must have the ability to travel to our Nottingham office as and when required.
