Saniya graduated from Nottingham Trent University with a First-Class Honours LLB degree in 2015. She completed the Legal Practice Course with a Master’s in Law at Nottingham Trent University in 2018 and graduated with a Distinction, in the same year she joined Paragon Law.


She has previously volunteered at Nottingham and Nottinghamshire Refugee Forum as a General Adviser assisting vulnerable asylum seekers and refugees. Saniya also has experience working at Nottingham Trent University as an Immigration Support Assistant where she assisted international students with making Tier 4 visa applications both inside and outside the UK.


Saniya began her training contract at Paragon Law in March 2020, and in November 2021 she qualified as a Solicitor in the Asylum team. In Autumn 2021, Saniya gained an accreditation as a Level 3 Supervising Senior Caseworker.




Saniya specialises in asylum claims for unaccompanied asylum-seeking children and adults. Saniya has experience of representing clients in appeals in the First tier Tribunal and Upper Tribunal, as well as applications for Indefinite Leave to Remain (protection route). She also specialises in trafficking/modern slavery claims, fresh claims, and judicial reviews.

Additionally, during her training contract Saniya has gained experience of Immigration applications such as family reunion (both inside and outside the Immigration Rules), spouse/fiancée visas, visitor visas, applications under private and family life rules and British Citizenship applications.
